The New Kitchen

This summer was all about the kitchen. The floor plan perfect, the layout? Not so perfect! With hardly any counter space and a window that prevented cabinets, it was time for a renovation. We decided to keep it simple and functioning while not ruining the character of the house. With a massive walk-in pantry and two built-ins, it wasn’t necessary for upper cabinets. Trying to keep things on a tight budget wasn’t easy but luckily we’re pretty handy and saved a ton by doing a lot of projects ourselves. A few of our favorite highlights are the hammered copper sink, reclaimed island and the glorious BlueStar range! We still can’t get over these pictures and how much the kitchen has changed. Let’s eat!

  1. This is one of the best kitchen renovations I’ve ever seen! You kept all the original elements that worked and then added even more character while making the room visually clean and functional. I love all the natural light and the richness of the original woodwork. Great job!!
